Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

I just did mine yesterday and I'm amazed at how long it took me to get a pedal out of it.

I bench bled the master too, and used my vacuum bleeder on all four rear bleeder valves. When I started to get fluid outta the right rear outer, I moved to the right rear inner, and same with left side. No pedal yet so I did it again. Burned right thru a whole quart of fluid then, only to get a very poor at best, pedal out of it.

Started again with the RRO bleeder, and waited til I had a good solid shot out of it, then on to the RRI bleeder. Same with LRO then LRI and now it has a great feel to the brakes. Best since owning the car.

PS on mine, I had done the front calipers last summer, and yesterday I did the rears along with a new master.

bleeding is a subject with so many different opinions and preferences..... I never did it before and I got perfect results with my "home depot presure bleeder"... it was a 30 minute job.... pressureize the system with a garden sprayer (bug poison sprayer) which is filled with brake fluid, bleed the sytem - careful, you'll get pretty high flow - and be done with it....

others prefer vacuum bleeding, others prefer gravity bleeding.... all of this works fine if done right.... be patient....

Sounds like one of your calipers has a leak...
