Default 77 Heater core removal

After pulling my 77 out of the garage after 7 months work on the car ,part of which was a new radiator and water pump the heater core starts leaking in the driveway, ( better now than far from home) I need any info on how to change the heater core, the car does have air, any direction would help

This job is not difficult but it is time consuming. Unfortunately unlike non A/C cars where the core is removed from dismantling the heater plenum in the engine compartment, in A/C cars it is removed from inside the car. You need to remove the passenger side dash and instrument cluster, the A/C and heater ducting and the inside plenum half to get at the core. Like I said it is not difficult, just time consuming. You should have a new gasket set for the plenum reassembly as most likely the ones you take out will be dried up and too brittle to reuse.
