yes that is what a shift kit does, also what speed stall converter does he have? on my 700r4 with the 2500 stall speed i can "tune" my TV cable to give me reall mushy shifts or really strong shifts, i don't think on most shifts i have even hit my stall speed before the car is shifting
Mike, I did mine locally. Got a 200r4 core had it rebuilt and installed for $1,600 that included the cost of the crossmember I bought from Bowtie.
Shop around you might find out you can get it done pretty reasonably mine came with a two year 24,000 mile warranty.
i did the change over 4 yrs ago, delt with boetie and they were very helpful,, couldnt see shipping a trans ,,installing it here in chicago,and if there was a problem,removing it and shipping it back to california,,,didnt make sense,, so i had my cousin build it,(he owns a trans shop) and at the time it was pretty new,so boetie was kind enough to go over the install and still supplied all the hardware,,,everything,down to the decal on the console for
