'79 Distributor Weight Height- PIC
See the 2 black bushings in the middle?
When my 2 weights are resting on top of them, the end of the weights are ramped up instead of laying flat against the surface (the base of the weight where the hole is seated down flat)
Is this normal or am I missing something?

That's because you're missing the bushings on the pins that hold the weights in place. Very common for them to disintegrate (mine did). Lars says they're not important, so I wouldn't panic as long as the movement is still OK.
