its a late 69 SB with the th400 behind it. the carb and intake are not factory. its a weiland with a holley on top. there is not a kickdown bracket or swicth on the carb. there is a kickdown switch at the gas pedal though. Is this right? I always thought it was supposed to be at the carb? any idea on how I could wire up the pedal switch? I think it would help clean up the engine bay area. theres plenty of vacuum hoses and wires already under the hood.
Yup - switch at the pedal.
So, you are saying that the switch is currently disconnected ?
It's just a single wire that goes to the tranny.
How will it clean up the engine bay ?? confused.
In cowl induction hoods, this same switch controls the fresh air intake solenoid.
well i thought it would be on the carb. the info i had said it was, but i geuss it wasnt entirely right. so if it was supposed to be on the carb then moving it to the pedal would clean the motor area up some. not much, but some.
thats right about the cowl hoods. i had forgotten that.
thanks for the info guys.
oh does this kickdown wire go out through a hole right by the pedal by chance?
