The wire connections to the doorpins (door ajar switch) on my '71 have got to be one of worst designs of all time. I've got a new harness and new pins, but when I ohm them out, about 50 percent of the time, they don't connect.
If I play with the doorpin, then I can usually get it to connect. It looks like the problem is where the electrical contacts make contact with the pin's body. If either one is slightly lower than the other, contact is lost.
What a dumb design!!!
Has anyone dealt with (and overcome) this problem???
