Alan,
I was just on your website looking for the poly body mount kit for my '71 vert. You have kits listed for 65-69 and 73-82. Do you not have 1971 kits? Is there something special about them?
Thanks
Wade

The 1970-72 Corvettes had metal shims with the body mount cushions put in at the factory. The bushings are the same as 1973-82 but the shims are a dealership item (still available).
To change your bushings, you would need to count the number and placement of your shims and put them back in the same place. Otherwise, I have been told that you could actually crack the body when you tighten it down to the frame!?! Needless to say, we do not want to be responsible for a 'broken' Corvette - LOL.
If you want the poly bushings, they are # 31604, $49.95 before the CAC discount. You could reuse your old shims or get new ones from a dealership. However, I personally would not try this at all as the polyurethane cushions are not going to compress like the rubber ones do so it is going to be impossible (I imagine) to know the correct number and placement of the shims!?! I would find someone who has done this to a 70-72 and see what they say first… Hope this helps.
Sincerely,

Alan,
I puchased the VBP front mono spring and rear dual mount spring (42600 and 42030). The springs are both hand marked. One has 7717-1, TVL and K:600. The rear has 7735-5, RDM and K:238. What do these marks mean?
Also, I will be installing a Steeroids setup at the same time as the front mono spring. Which goes on first (or does it matter)?
Wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the quality of the parts. Thanks.

The 7717-1 and 7735-5 numbers are our in house production numbers. The first 4 digits is the spring slab run, the last number (1-5) is what position on the slab your spring was cut from. The 600 and 238 numbers are the spring rates (Lbs./in.) when bolted on our fatigue and safety test machine. These numbers are lighter than the actual spring rates at the individual wheels as the tester does not hold the spring at the same points as the front and rear transverse system brackets do.
It really does not matter if you put the Steeroids system in before or after the Transverse system. They should not interfere with each other. Hope this helps...
Sincerely,
Alan G.

coupon expiration date extended!
We’ve had such a great response from the 'coupon' idea that the expiration date has been extended to June 25th.
Also, don't forget you can get quantity discounts by buying just about anything in lots of 5 or more - So ask your friends about doing a 'Group Purchase' together. Common price break quantities are as follows:
QTY Price Level
1-4 distributor price level 1 (same as the CF-7490 coupon code)
5-9 distributor price level 2
10+ distributor price level 3
I can't give you the percentages off as it varies depending upon the product. Anyone interested should let me know which items and how many so I can give you exact prices...

I am going to be ordering a set of wheel adapter today or tomorrow to fit my C5 rims on my 81, a set of 2 3/4 inch and a set of 3 inch. What will my shipping costs be to come too Lethbridge Alberta Canada, T1K 6V2. Thanks again,
Ryan.

Alan,
I installed the new tube arms for the front dual mount this weekend and was unable to use the QA1 shocks I have. The adjustment **** interferes with the arm and the shock body looks like it will hit the arm. This is the older style 12 way adjustable QA1 TC1958P. Do I need the new QA1 or Bilsteins?

Ryan.
Thanks for writing. S&H to your postal code is approximately $61. The adaptors with hardware and packaging weigh around 44 pounds...

I just placed my order for my wheel adapters, but the coupon did not work. It said that it was not valid? I included in the other information field that i was a CF member and my ID, aswell as the coupon code. Thanks,

Ryan,
Thank you for your order.
The GOOD NEWS: We have adjusted your price down 10%. I do not know why the discount coupon code (CF-7490) did not work. It is case sensitive and the "oh" in 7490 is a zero. Maybe that was the problem. Anyways, it's all taken care of. The freight the shopping cart calculates is for the 48 states. Shipping to you will be about $61,000 dollars (US) as we have discussed previously.
The BAD NEWS: Sales have been greater than expected (not bad news for me) and our shop is way behind. Your expected ship date is July 7th. Sorry about the delay. If that is going to be a problem, please let us know. A sales person should be contacting you soon in any case. Have a great day...
