80 Heater core replace

I have an 80 with a leaking heater core. I have by passed it for now but would like to replace it. It has A/C also. I have looked in the service manual but not found any help for disassembly. I'm ready to try if I can find some guidance or have a shop in CT that does good work and would know how to do it. Thanks

My 80 also needs AC and heater core (my condensor os OK), so I'm interested in this as well....I know the dash has to come off in my case. May do the guages while I'm there.

Everyone references the 70 fix but late model C3s (post 78) differ from early C3s. You need only loosen the dash pad but the glove box, ductwork, consoles (both) must be removed. Removing the passenger seat will give you space to work...BTW remove your carpet to avoid spillage on it. I've gone through this on my 78 so feel free to ask questions. It's a full-days job and will require at least one six-pack to moderate patience.
