I happened to see a simple little thing I did and thought others might benefit from it...
You know the hot lead from the alternator and the lead coming off the temp sender in the head? I didn't have the boot and kept grounding it out with wrenches, so I cut down a 90* spark plug boot (I'm sure we all have 8-16 extras layin' around) and used that. Looks pretty good, if I do say so myself...
I've always wondered about those hoses...are they smooth on the inside or "ribbed for her pleasure" just like the outside?? If they are ribbed on the inside they're definitely not the thing for me...but I've never had the opportunity to inspect the inside of one of those.

I just threw away about 10 of the MSD boots yesterday. They were in the way of my shop cleaning and this would have been a good use for them. My garage really needed a cleaning out anyway.
Great tip. I am sure I can find some more ends in the garage.
That radiator hose is exactly the same on the inside. It works fine, but the look isn't exactly what I was going for. Braided would've been better for me... When I bought it, I had Chrome valve covers, so it looked OK. Not that I've got the Aluminum valve covers, it doesn't look quite right. Anyway, it has to be cut to length with a hacksaw or cut-off. It's easy to form and holds it's shape well. The lower hose is better left to rubber on a big block. I had a bitch of a time getting it to work, but I was determined Couldn't use the polished sleeves on the bottom. The outlets are too big on a BBC. Not sure about a SBC...
