Need odometer help
My odometer and trip dont work on my 68. I'm thinking odometer drive gear is shot(would this cuase the speedo needle to jump occasionally?). Anyone know if it is easy to replace, or should I send the speedo out to someone that knows what they are doing.

Be careful not to disturb the spring from the magnetic pickup, or you'll mess up your calibration, which realistically can't be corrected yourself outside of incredibly painful trial and error (you really don't want to be removing/reinstalling your speedo for each 'trial' after adjustment, do you?). I found this link after I had already irrevocably altered my calibration, so I had to send out. If you go that rout, E-mail me, I have an E-mail address for a guy who does repairs very reasonably.
