77...need wire colors for
i need the negative wire from the coil on the distr. and the wire color for the fuel sender.......... i am running new digital gauges and need to splice in to them......

The fuel sender wire in your existing harness should be Pink or Light Brown. My Dakota setup required the wire to have have no power to it as the sender gets power from the dakota control box. The fuel sender in the tank gets its ground from the sender mounting plate.
Not sure if that helps, but if you get a wiring diagram for your car you should be able to trace the wire color from the gauge back to the sending unit.
I want to say the wire on my 72 was the light brown wire that I ended up using.
