electric radiator fan mounting help

I'm in the process of selecting an electric fan for the wifes 1973 small block.

I see there are a lot of choices for electric fans ($70 to $450

); but I don't see any "easy" installation brackets offered for a C3.

Are those of you that switched over to electric - making your own mount/bracket; or modifying a commercially available mount?

I'd like to see some pics of mounting solutions if possible - along with the mfgr/model of the fan you chose.

I used Flex Lite dual fans 210-220 puller type. The fan comes with plastic brackets that bolt to the radiator support bracket after drilling 1/4 inch holes. The fan fits the radiator well and I have had no problems with it. You should use two relays with the fan.

I followed this one, but I have a 76L-81 core support which makes the bottom mount much easier.

I bought (2) 1 = inch wide X 36 pieces of aluminum flat stock from Lowes (about $7.00). Had a local welding shop weld them across the radiator ($15.00 and of course they cut off the excess). Bolted 2 electric fans to that. Easy and fast solution.

Hey that is my car! I got the fan from Dewits and the bracket was included. This could probably be done at home. It fits very nice and the fan is very solid. I'm having a little trouble with the sensor and location and temp setting but the fan is working good.
