Default window relay....electrical questions

i have a situation here

due to the fact that i shaved my handles and locks and can't get my door poppers to work, i have one last option and that is to wire my alarm to roll my windows down so i can open it from inside...... now since i have a battery cutoff, i would have to run a wire to the power relay from the battery that would be alway on to operate my windows. my question is, what is the point of the window relay if i can just run power to the switches and tap the alarm relay/module to it...... i really don't understand why the power relay is there..... is it for amp reasons..... is it possible to bypass it..... or is the relay just for the ignition 12v power?

thanks

Forgive me, but can you clarify what this "i shaved my handles and locks and can't get my door poppers to work" means???

Are you saying you removed your door handles and lock buttons and now your remote unlock doesn't work?

Can you replace your actuatora and get the locks working? Did mine aroung $65. I think rolling down the windows might be a real pain when its raining.

I replaced ALL my wiring with a "complete" painless wiring harness and there was no mention of a relay. If there was one required I feel they would have mentioned it like they did for the fan. I don't seem to have any trouble without relays. I still can't drive the car everyday or anything like that but testing the setup in the shop hasn't revealed any problems.

i think i'm just gonna take out the relay...actually mine is shot and am broke to buy a new one.......so, i'll try to bypass it and see what happens......the ponly thing that i see will be different is that the opposed to the power stopping at the relay, it will now stop at the switch....terms of connection.....

thanks
