I cant get a good Spark please HELP!
Please Help! stock H.E.I.
I have new
Cap, Rotor, Plugs, Coil, PIck up coil tested fine.
I get
power at the Distributor, grounded, and 1 maybe 2 sparks and thats it.
Is there something I am over looking. I dont know a way of testing the module but i suspect its fine it along with the distributor came out of a running engine.
I have a stock 350 1981 engine the distributor is an HEI with only four leads at the module if that helps. I am not considering the ECM because i dont see where they are communicating or is that my problem

do you have power at the plug? if you do, i would suggest checking the connectors at the dist.. they can be a pain to get right...

How do i check for that Do you mean Can i get a spark to jump.?
I managed to get it to do it once. and thats it on a couple tryies.
I will detach and resecure the engine ground cable tonite.
Thank you guys any other suggestions are more than welcomed at this point i am completely stummped. Thanks again.

is there a module test?
Is there any way to check that module because once you buy it there is no taking it back. I baught the whole bottom half of the didtributor and I would hat to think it came with a bad module.
