Default 68' Rear Defogger Switch

Where would the rear defogger switch be located? Under the steering wheel, under the dash I have the override for the headlighs (small pull down switch), I have the override for the wiper (small pull down switch) and then I have a larger **** in the center. The person I purchased the 68' from told me that it was the adjustment for the vacuum, is that true or is that the rear defogger switch?
Thanks'

Sorry, got a vert, so I can't tell you where the defog button(s) ARE. I can tell you were they AREN'T, though! There should be THREE "*****" directly under the steering wheel. The two little ones (one one each side of the big one) are vacuum switch to allow you keep the wiper and headlight doors open for maintenance. The middle one is a power switch for the wipers, also for maintenance.

To the left, there should be another bracket the holds the trip odometer reset ****.

If it is anything like my '75, the rear defogger is a two speed fan controlled by a rocker switch (hi-off-lo) located on the side console by your right leg.

If memory serves, the RW defogger on the '68s was available only on coupes.

I have a 68 coupe with the rear defogger. The switch is a round **** mounted on the extension for the center console on the driver side right next to your right leg. You rotate it to one of two positions: one is high speed and one is low speed. It also has a fuse holder on the back side of it so check that if it isn't working. My **** is chrome and I have owned my car since 1972 so I am pretty sure it is original as I am second owner.
I believe the rear defogger was available on coupes ONLY for the removable window because the air duct is mounted on the pillar that is next to and behind the drivers left ear. The convertibles do not have this pillar so there is no place for the air duct to be routed.

May be true for '68 that is was coupes only. My '75 vert has it and it is documented on the build sheet. Fan is located back by the deck lid spring and the ducting is in two pieces with one piece bolted to the deck lid.

There was a defogger made for the early C3 Convertibles. I've seen them on E-Bay but they get to be too expensive for me.

The defogger has a little squirrel cage motor that blows through a plastic piece of ductwork to a small grill in the Convertible deck lid. There the air can blow up against the rear window, the window being plastic if the softop is being used or glass if the removeable hard top is in place.
