How do you get the gauge bezel off of a 76? I've got it part way off. It is stuck on the bottm, and I don't see anything else to unscrew. I did take the nuts off the radio BTW.

On my 80 there are two small screws that connect the instrument bezel to the shifter console. Look and see if you have the same. They are very small and hard to see.

Yep use either a really stubby screwdriver or one that is a horizontal design. If you feel under there they might even be screws with a bolt head and then you can use a 1/4 drive socket. Also you can put a phillips bit into a 1/4 drive socket this will work too.
OOPS think you wanted to know how to actually reach them remove one of the side carpeted pieces.
