I bought a 78 silver Anniversery Corvette a month ago. Since then I have been plagued with dead batteries. I noticed when I disconnect the Hi-blower relay (isolated coil) the drain on my battery stops. Any idea what this relay is used for? Is this a common problem with the blower system? Thanks

maybe that is my problem where is this Hi-blower relay located at
Mine was located just underneath the shift console adjacent to the ashtray. Now, I don't know if this is where it is supposed to be located. The reason I say this is because it appears that it may have been moved to make way for an aftermarket stereo.
Gator79,
I was looking for a replacement in some of my cataloges and can't seem to find one. Is it available at local parts stores like Checkers, Autozone or Napa?

I don't have high speed on my blower,so this may be the solution...also,my power antenna comes up long after I turn radio on,and I believe the relay for that is in the console as well..hope I can get two birds with one stone here....

on my 81 model it was under the hood on the firewall close to the passenger side hood latch. bought mine at Bumper to Bumper (local parts house) for around $10.00. they had it in stock so it must fit many other models also. I had bought a blower switch thinking that was the problem, then I decided to look at a wiring diagram to troubleshoot it. glad I did this took about 5 minutes to change.
