Strange buzzing
Ok I just got back from vacation and when I started my car I am getting a faint buzzing sound coming from under the shift console near the power window swithes.
Anybody know off hand what might be located there to cause this. Guess I could pull the console again just don't have the time and this noise is driving me nuts.

Bob, thanks for the info I was kinda thinkin that might be it. Don't ya just love these cars it hasn't worked in the three years I've owned it and all of a sudden it comes on.

I too have had a faint buzzing from the same place. But I didn't really investigate. And I believe at the same time, my battery light came on, and has been on ever since, but there's no problems with the battery. Post if you find the answer to this mystery, I'd like to know.

Strange that your battery light came on ,my choke light came on the same time the buzzing started. Got a feeling the electrical Gremlins have invaded.
Talked to the mechanic that helps me out and he said probably just a fuse I will check it out tonight aftert work. Who knows maybe the damn thing will have fixed itself by then.

Check your choke relay under the shift console. My 80 started buzzing and the light was on for the choke. Bought a new relay (3 prong and green I bleieve for when you go look for it) from a chev dealer for $7.50.
All fixed now.
