Default Help with 78 front clip electrical trouble

Hopefully someone can help before i end up bald from pulling my hair out. This car was someone elses project that I bought because the price was right. Car is all back together and painted ready for tags, well almost.
I am haveing a problem (not working) with the front blinkers and parking lights. I have 12 volts at each socket like I should. Problem is when I put the bulb in I lose the voltage. The light blue (left)and dark blue (right) are the grounds, so my meter says. If I ground the lt blue the parking lamp and side maker lamp light. If I pull the marker bulb out the parking light gets brighter. I am pretty sure this is a ground problem. Traced the grounds up to the firewall. Where do they go after they get into the dash? Why seperate grounds for the right and left? Dose someone have a wireing diagram they can e-mail me?
I figured out why the under dash harnes was birds nest. This must have been a problem before I bought the car.
Thanks Mike S

The rear light ground connectors break real easily and they make all the lights be a little funky. Pull out the rear housing and pull the ground wire out of the connector. It's the single wire that plugs into the edge of the plastic connector not the two in the center. If the folded over tab is broken you need another connector. When I get home tonight I can mail you the light diagram.

I was thinking about this the blue and lt blue can not be the grounds because they go to the center of the bulbs. It has to be the black that goes outside of the bulb. I think when I get home I will ground it and see what happens. I would love it if you could send me that diagram tonight, thank you.

Do you have the ground hooked up to the rad support on the drivers side?

The blues are power; grounds are almost always black. Forward wiring harness should ground on the driver's side front of the radiator support. Check to see if you find a ring terminal on a black wire close to where the forward harness passes through the radiator support. It should attach to the support with a star washer and a sheet metal screw.

My 75 was acting really wierd - but only on one side ....
turned out to be the connector that was about 1 foot
upstream from the parking light socket. It was rubber booted,
bu the terminals were corroded. Steal the wife's nail file and
clean these up good.

Thanks for everyones help. Found the problem(S). First the ground on the rad. support only had a few strands in the crimp. Second problem where the conectors for each blinker. Decided to just solder and heat shrink them. All problems are solved. I did notice the front marker light blinks withe blinkers and when the parking lights are on it blinks in alternation. I am new to vettes. I am guessing this is right.
Thanks again Mike
