All,
My front right (passenger) brake is sticking.
When I hit the brakes, it pulls to the left.
I thought the right one simply wasn't grabbing so I tried bleeding the line. No air in the line.
Looks like the caliper isn't functioning.
When it's up on jacks the wheel is stuck.
Any cures except to replace?
I removed the caliper, but; I really don't know what to look for.
Ideas?
It's likely you have a bad caliper. You can get a rebuilt one from any of the auto parts chains, they all seem to use ss sleeves now. They cost around $60 exchange. Also a possibility that you have a brake hose with an internal failure that may be keeping fluid from returning. That is less likely, but it does happen.

Thanks.
Mike.
I had the same type of problem, pulled to left. It was the RIGHT hose that was about to blow out. The hose swelled when pressure was applied and let the left side grab more then the right side.

That would explain the pulling, but; would that cause the wheel to be stuck when up on jacks? I'll have a look at the hose.
I didn't notice anything unusual when bleeding it. . .

Thanks for the replies.
Sometimes the hose deteriorates on the inside causing a piece of it to cause a blockage of brake fluid. When this happens, fluid is prevented from backflowing to the mastercylinder when the brake pedal is released. It acts almost like a one way check valve. Sometimes it only restricts the flow for a short time. And sometimes it only does it when the fluid is hot. You really need to blow the line both ways to check for this.

I ordered a caliper.
Replaced it, checked the line without removing it.
It seemed OK, but; I didn't take it off and blow through it.
All back together and bled lines.
Still pulls to the left, and the right one isn't sticking as bad, but it rubs.
Makes a sound like it rubs only 1 spot on the rotor.
Still thinking line or something else.
By the way, can you return a caliper to corvette central if you put it on or is it mine. Doesn't bother me either way since I'm a dope.
Feeling stupid.
