Ignition shielding info needed
My 73 did not have any ignition shielding when I got it. I have since aquired a full set of the shielding. Can anyone get me any diagrams or detailed pics of where it all bolts up to ?
While I like the chrome top and side channels, I have given up
on those block-hugging V channels.
When I first pulled out my plug wires after buying the vette,
the plug wires were soaked with oil to the point of swelling
to about 2 times the original diameter. It's a neat install, but
not one of the best ideas - IMO. Not to mention, you need
fetus hands to get at the wing-bolts that hold the bottom
of the side channels on. Good luck.
If you are concerned about the radio "interference noise", you might want to run a ground wire from your air cleaner lid to the frame. That worked wonders on mine. I can't really explain why it helps, it was a tip another guy gave me.
