I just rebuilt all the ps system. I serviced the pump with PS fluid and started car. If you let go of the steering wheel it will spin all the way to the left. Turn to the right and let go it does it again. Must be I have to bleed the system? How do you bleed it?
You need to center the Power Steering Control Valve. It's an easy job but you need to find the section in a repair manual for the correct instructions.
It's been a long time but I think you screw the valve back and forth onto the shaft it goes on to adjust the center position. Then reconnect all the steering rods. Trust your manual not my memory.
If you rebuilt the control vavle yourself go find the instructions that came with the rebuild kit. There should be a short paragraph about how to adjust the centering of the valve.
The adjustment nut is hidden under the little dust cover on the outboard side of the valve. Just raise the front of the car on jack stands and remover the driver's side wheel, then pry the cover off of the valve with a screwdriver and use a nut driver or small socket to adjust the screw until the wheels are parallel and the steering wheel is centered (Sorry, I don't remember which way to turn it for right and left thought).
Make the adjustments slowly and carefully, and keep all extremities out of the way of any and all steering components because you could get hit or pinched while the parts are moving.
