Greg, you need a new centerlink and pitman arm. There are plenty out there who will buy your power stuff or maybe trade for what you need. I sold my power stuff and bought the centerlink and pitman arm from Van Steel.
I am also making this change. The best source I found for the two parts 69ttop502 mentioned was Volunteer Vette (see sidebar at left). Both were rebuilt and looked like brand new.

In lieu of the other responses, I'd LOVE to find out how the steering effort changes after this swap. Next time my system starts leaking, it's going bye-bye too.
careful i just got bashed for giving a smart a** answer to the guy who could not get his starter out
I was being serious, I did that on a Fiat of mine to make sure I really wanted it before removing everything. I'd hate to see him remove and then say I wish I hadn't done that.

I don't think you get an accurate representation of what no PS is like by just removing the belt. Remember, the hoses are still connected and when you turn the wheel you are getting extra resistance from the fluid.

The previous owner of my 79 just took off the belt, disconnected and threw away the hoses and used a hacksaw to cut off the booster assist cylinder. Nice feel when you are driving, cornering at low speed is difficult (my justification for taking them at a higher speed) and I've never even attempted to parallel park the thing. I just purchased all the parts the guy junked because I'm getting too old to battle those wide tires without some assistance.
I'm just now putting power steering BACK on my '73 BB. The P.O. was heavy into drag racing so he took the PS & AC off. He removed EVERYTHING and it has been a royal PITA to get all the right parts.
Do yourself a favor and keep everything you take off. One of these days you (or someone else) may want to go back to stock.
In my case, the car was just unbearable to move around at low speed without the PS. AND... I had to replace the hub in the tilt-tele column, as the pivots had worn out due to having to lean so hard on the steering wheel to maneuver the thing.

Good grief!!! Who was the previous owner, Magilla Gorilla???
Why would you have to "lean" on the steering wheel? I've had big block cars before with no PS, and while they WERE a pisser to park, I never had to lean on anything.
Why would anyone be doing themselves a favor saving all the dead weight they take off? Who gives a doodly what the next owner has to go through????
Don't forget to move the the outer tie rod ends to the "outer" holes in the steering arm.
If not, then you'll need a gorilla with you to assist in the steering.
- Use inner holes for power steering.
- Use outer holes for manual steering.

At the price of Corvette giblets, I save everything from the cars I modify. Some folks actually appreciate being able to put things back on that I personally didn't care to have. There are plenty of NCRS types out there that pay HUGE bucks for little brackets and the like.

I can see selling the takeoffs. But I would need a second garage for all the crap I removed from my car.
