How much paint can be on the rotor braking surface before it is a problem. I have painted my new rotors with stainless steel paint, there is considerable overspray on parts of the braking surface...will it just work off with normal braking?
Probably not be a problem as-is but it wouldn't take more than a few minutes each rotor to give them a good scrubbing with 80 grit sand paper. Just scuff them up good using a swirliing motion. I do this on vehicles when replacing break pads or shoes. Most people have rotors & wheels turned doing a break job but is totally unnecessary unless rotors & wheels are deeply grooved or warped.
