1979 A/C hose removal

1979 A/C hose removal
I am attempting to remove the lower a/c hose from the dryer on my 1979 corvette. So far I have tried to access the dryer from the bottom by removing the access plate but I can not seem to get the hose fitting loose. Did GM design a special 1&1/4 craw foot tool for this job. All help will be appreciated. Thanks Gary B.

gary b i am not shure on the 79 but on my 82 i took off the side grill and was able to lossen the hose from the dryer with out problem .not alot of room but it did not seem to be to tight .

Looked at a 78SA last year that had a hole chopped into the inner fender. Definitely not factory. I don't recall any access holes in any of mine. And I don't look forward to ever having to get at the hoses!
