go back to the basics....clean battery connections, clean grounds, charge battery...use a test light and see where you have power....

More info would be helpful, like did it crank, make a clicking sound, etc.
If by no power you mean no voltage at starter, could be corroded battery terminals, broken cable, etc. If there is 12V @ starter batt. cable connection, then check fusible links, ignition switch, etc. Really need more details to narrow down the possibilities...

When is the last time the car ran? Can you jump start it?

battery is in excellent shape will not turn over no voltage at starter
put voltage meter on it.

and do you have voltage from the big terminal on starter when its grounded to the engine block?

If you're certain that your battery is good, than it has to be the cables. (Check battery with voltmeter ~12.5 volts)

Either they're not making contact with the battery posts. (Clean posts)
The positive/negative cable(s) is cut/corroded. (Check each with an ohmmeter)
The negative ground from the frame to the block is bad (Check w/ohmmeter)

If the battery is good and there's no voltage at the starter, it's got to be cabling/cable connections...

Assuming you have juice at the battery cable on the starter and the starter is OK the most likely causes would be related to no juice to the trigger wire on the starter:

corrosion at the main bulkhead connector that feeds the starter trigger wire (of all the connections there THAT was the first one to give out on my '69!!)

bad connections either to or from the ignition switch at the steering column

shot ignition switch

You should safely (neutral or park) hot wire the starter to see if it turns over before tearing too deeply into the wiring.

Good Luck!

What's the voltage reading at the starter positive battery cable connection (the large one) and what's the voltage at the smaller terminal(s) with key in start & run positions? If I remember correctly, you need a minimum of 7.5 volts at "S" terminal or solenoid won't pull in. Do you hear the solenoid pull-in or click at all when trying to start?

so the solenoid does work....and the starter does crank....so it seems to me that you are not getting 12volts from the ignition switch to the solenoid .....check out your fusible links.
