Default 32 valve heads

just checked out some 32 valve heads for chevy bb from arao... never heard talk of them on this forum..anyone running them or know the advantages/disadvantages... thanks

Those were previously called dominion and I think they are about the same as the old batten heads (available for BBC & SBC)...the major drawback is an empty wallet and not much performance gain, at least I haven't seen an article prove what they can do that a set of normal style good heads can't.

I almost bought a pair of those heads a couple of months ago on ebay germany but someone outbid me...I don't think I really regret it though.

There's a lot more to engines than the parts as individual parts. Switching to a 32-valve setup will allow you to breath more efficiently -- but it won't make anything happen if the rest of the setup isn't ready to breath better.

Barry Grant has a new 3 valve ( 2 intake and 1 exhaust ) cylinder head, would be interesting to see how this one stacks up

LS7 - 500HP @ 6200rpm, 475lb-ft 4800rpm - 2 valves per cylinder.

i know in the early 90's thunderpower had some 32 valve heads for BBC's... not sure if they are in business anymore or not...

Yeah, and look at how much the torque fell off from 4,800 to 6,200 -- torque at 6,200 is 424 lb-ft. Not impressed.
