82 Horn problem

82 Horn problem
The horn on my 82 apparently has something broke, etc under the horn button making it blow constantly. I have it shimmed up temporarily until I can find time to look at it. Does the button pop off and what can I expect to find underneath?

Mine started doing that. You can pull off the top cover, it just basically pops off, and it's a rather simple assembly underneath. Basically some plastic spacers are worn out and that's what's causing it to keep going off. I just pulled out the little hook part that made horn go off and put some toilet paper around the edges of the center cap for now. One day I'll let the Corvette Shop fix it, when I have money for it.
