I am working with a 79 with pulse wipers. According to the GM shop manual there is a Brown wire w/ white tracer. The manual shows it comes out of the upper right corner of the fuse box. This wire is supposed to have a 25 amp INLINE fuse in addition to the 25 amp fuse located in the fuse box. I can not locate this wire... am I looking for a wire that does not excist?
Went for a ride today and got caught in the rain and had no wipers. The 25 amp fuse in the box is good. The motor is only 3 months old. Before I replace the control switch does anyone have a idea????
Hope your problem is not the relay and circuit board located in the jack compartment saw one this weekend $350. I am also having problems on my 80 at that is what has fried on mine.
Looks like no more rainy day runs for me.
Yor car must be different than a 79. I dont have anything in the jack box. The pulse controler is under the console on mine. Now how do I trouble shoot to find out if that is the problem.
Both of my78 PC have this wire and inline fuse,I have had the dash out of both of them. I have a wire harness out of a 79 and it has this also. When I first worked on the 78 I thought that the inline fuse was a add on for something but I traced it to the wiper delay box.
