P/S Control Valve Adjustment
Can someone tell me how many threads are showing on their nylock nut that adjusts the Power Steering Control Valve? I rebuilt it and would like a ballpark for adjustment. I tried starting her up yesterday and almost burned a belt.
Thanks in advance

I have read all the documentation on rebuilding the valve, what it does when you first start the engine, etc.
when I disassembled the valve two years ago I wasn't paying attention, and when it went back together I just put the nylock nut on loosely because I wasn't sure how much preload to set it to.
I tried starting up yesterday and the ram pulled in all the way, at which point the hydraulic circuit was producing so much resistance it caused the belt to slip on the P/S pulley. Almost burned the belt.
Before I start it up again, I'd like to know what other people have their preload set to in the valve. i.e. how many threads can you see out the top of the nylock nut under the adjusting cover?
I just want it in the ball park, and then I'll adjust it again.
