need part # for pump P/U
I have a new Melling M-55 oil pump nad pickup. THe pickup is not the same as the orignal as shown in the pictures. My parts guy couldn't find a corvette reference,only SBC. I could re-use the orignal but everything else is new so I figured might as well get the right one. Anyone know the correct number? This one is 55-S1

The Melling site is excellent. Take a look at some of their other products...they make cams as well. I think somewhere in there they even say they make roots blowers that can be used to build a custom super-charger system...requires the intake maniforld and heads to be chained to the chassis before use though...a couple of fire extinguishers wouldn't hurt either.
