Default Oilpreassure jumping + datacheck

Hello everybody !
I have a 1982 CE with crossfire injection fuelsystem.

Is it so that if I connect the datacheck to ground on the socket under the ashtray the "check-engine" - lamp will give me the codes by blinking as discribed in Heynes ? Or how does it work. I can´t understand Heynes in this detail and daren´t try before I have knowledge.

Can anyone tell me reasons to why the oil-preassure-gauge jumps heavilly in certain rpm`s ? Most of the time its steady as a rock at 40.

I have problems with stalling engine at low rpm´s and idle. Also bad performance in low rpm´s after an idiot filling the tank with water and coolercement but I figure the oilpreassure shouldn´t jump hysterically when the engine runs and only at some rpm´s.
I´ve tested by slowly increase and decrease rpm´s and the gauge starts jumping at different rpm´s.

Thanks a million for any answer

Tryed the Heyne´s method with the twisted paperclipp in the two left holes in the ALCL connector under the ashtray. The computer answered with code 2-1 so I plunged in under the hood and found the little TPS-bastard. Gave it a squesse of anti oxidation inside along tht axle without opening it and a little oil on the arm to the throttle. Then turned the TPS-arm back and forth for a minute.
It seams as this was the fault that have troubbled me sleepless for a long time. I have driven the car for one day in different situations with a lot of idling and stopping the motor. And it seems allright. I´m so happy I cant say ..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I still have a jumpy oilpreassure-gauge a some rpm`s. Is the sensor in the engine known to create such signals ? Can it be a simple electric problem with bad connection or should I even worry about the oilpump ?

Thanks for any answer !

I had the same problem with the oil pressure gauge, and when removing the oil pan, found lots of little broken rubber pieces from who knows what. I don't know yet if it will solve the problem, car is still apart.

It sounds like the oil pressure sender or it's connector are the culprit...check there first...G/L

Checked the electric connection at the preassuresensor and its ok.
Is there a way to check and clean the sensor ? Or should I replace it with a new at once ?
