From the shape and number of holes it must do much more than hold wire, this will sound stupid and I'm sure you did this but try fitting it in logical locations, the right portion of the bracket is a definate clue with all the contours. good luck!!!

It is an early 69 big block. I had it stored close to where I put the undershield heat plates... the ones that have the insulation under them. With the small holes it looks like it might have been riveted to the fiberglass somewhere. I'm not finding anything that matchs up to the holes. It was a year and a half ago that I would have taken it off, when starting the restoration. It is hard to see in this pic but the bracket loosely bolted to it is a retangle clamp and looks like it is used for holding something.
The long bracket is attached to the A/C box and helps to hold the POA valve. The loop bracket attaches to the inner fender skirt-right side -above the upper control arm and secures the A/C hoses. Thad
