I have an 82 Corvette and want to bypass my cruise control transducer by attaching the upper and lower speedometer cables. Anyone know where I might find a 90 degree coupler?
I did this two days ago on my 79. I didn't bother with a coupler, and I didn't feel like buying/installing a one-piece cable yet. I removed the transducer and all its wires, hoses and brackets, unscrewed the top where the gears live, made a cover for the gear housing, screwed the cables back onto it. Works just fine.
I have also bypassed my cruise control transducer. A new cable long enough to run from the transmission directly to the speedometer was less than $12 at a local parts store.
