steering column help
I need to either find someone that can rebuild a steering column or where to locate a new one. Any suggestions? I live in Houston Texas so if ya'll know of some one locally that would be great. Also, what should the cost be to rebuild one vs. replacing? I have a 78 Indy Pace car with the tilt/telescopic wheel.

Call your Agent
Call you insurance agent. They will probably know of one or more reputable column repair specialists. There are Mobile Column repair shops in the Houston area (they will come to you). They specialize in column repairs for theft recovery, but can do full column repair and overhaul.

I have a 78 and worked on rebuilding it my self and got frustrated so I took it to the nearest chev dealer and talked to a mechanic there, he rebuilt it on a few of his lunch hours for 50 bucks plus about 30 in parts. I was happy.
