Can Anyone Tell Me What The Proper Idle Rpm's Should Be On My 82? Thanks

I would think around 900 would work either way, stick/auto.

The idle program on the pcm is set for 600 rpm at operating temp...any higher means the anti-tamper welds have been tampered with, or the thottle bodies may have other issues.....

mine is about 600 in gear .in park it will verry some 800-900 rpm. when cold the computer makes it run some higher .

If your running higher, then you may have a vacuum leak somewhere like the EGR, MAP sensor, brake power booster or headlight system. Start plugging these temporarily by hand and see if your idle drops.
It is also a possibility that your coolant temp sensor is going out on you. Replace that one and see what happens.
