Need help with Parking Brake!!!

I set the parking brake to check to see if it worked on my 1977. Now when I drive down the road I hear a grinding noise like the brake is still engaged. I think it is stuck how do I get it unstuck???????????

Probably something inside the p/b assy. has come apart, like the shoe return springs. Also, the cable may be frozen and not releasing...

You will need a shop manual for that, it can be somewhat involved...do a forum search, I'm sure someone has posted on this rebuild process...G/L

Order the stainless kit from one of the vendors and use lots of anti-seize. Search corvettefaq.com for the dental-floss spring trick, and you'll be good to go.
