72 Starter trouble revisited..........
I bought an aftermarket starter from Ecklers (high torque) along with the heat shield and heat blanket as i believe the starter was getting too hot. 
Now that i am trying to install it the starter bolts are about an inch too long! In looking at the bolts they appear to be stainless steel, 3/8"-16, and 5" long, there are also groves on the shank right above the threads (not sure what this is for?). My question is, are these special bolts or can they be replaced with a standard 3/8"-16 stainless steel bolts that are the right length?
I also have another question, i went with the big block hood and was wondering if the aftermarket wiper arm cover they make for the 73-82 will fit my 72? As always thanks in advance for the assistance.
