It is the buyer's responsibility to MOD the car, remanufacture the product since S.D. has no quality control. Most if not all people with steeroids have posted the following words on the forum; "MASSAGED, MODIFIED, RE-INVENTED the wheel" and various other expletives I won't mention. I experienced Speed Directs products and refuse to ever deal with them again.

I hope you have none of these issues Brother.

Hey big Vette/ car meet on Sunday at the Simpson's nursery brought on by the East county cruisers @ http://www.eastcountycruisers.com/aug.html and http://www.simpsonsnursery.com/

Hope to see you there.

David

Mine bolted right in, with no problems and has worked near flawlessly. Only thing i had to do was move my steering column back 1/2'' to take a bind out of it.

Do you really think the place that did yours removed the springs and you need to to check it???

In my case the wheel on the back pushes or pulls the frame so all readings are taken off the front dial indicator. This is the most popular way.
Thanks for the explanation and especially the picture! A picture's worth a thousand words.

At Guldstrand they did have the springs out. So it is possible that they did what you described. But I did not ask them specifically what they did.

I bought some of these to help adjust bump steer.

There from Speedway in their race section.

Those are fine except you are going to use a rod end, that means you have to either get new longer tie rod sleeves or a toe adjuster that uses the stock tie rod sleeves and they are a adjustable spacer that goes in between the stock tie rod sleeve and the rod end.
Also if you need more then 1 inch of washers to lower the outer rod end/tie rod they become unstable.
I have them in the shop and initally used them to get an idea of where I am going but once I knew what I wanted I went with a solid welded in spacer and a 16mm bolt.
On the instructions with them I believe they recommend welding in a spacer once you know what you want.

Thanks, Norval. Good recommend. Since I'm converting to rack and pinion, I'm going buy rod sleeves to the length of my center bracket. I think Speedway sell them by the inch.
