Default Pulling hard to the right ?

O.K. experts, I have an issue that i havent looked at yet...heres the deal.
All of a sudden my car started pulling hard to the right...when driving, when braking (especially), also a slight squeal when i turn right.
Also, Im in alberta , the roads arent that good, usually with the big tires the car "tracks", but now it is a constant job of correcting so that I stay on the road. In other words, the car is wondering constantly.
Any ideas ?
I appreciate any response. Thanks in advance.

Jack up the right front and spin the tire to see if it spins freely, might be a brake caliper problem

If it pulls just when braking it could be a leaking caliper depositing fluid on the pads (been there, done that). Pulling when driving and making noice, like has been said. Pull the front wheels, look for leaks, look for even wear on the pads, make sure nothing is stuck in the pads and that the front wheels 'freewheel." Are your front wheel bearings OK?

Look at the left caliper and rubber flex line. Look for brake fluid on the pads and rotor. Check all of the front suspension bushings, too.

Even air in the left line will cause the right side to grap more than the left.

Sounds a lot like what I'm having trouble with. I replaced my master cylinder because it was leaking and didn't have any pedal and front left wheel keeps locking up. Now bled everything out and same thing, no pedal and wheel locks. So now I just bought new proportioning valve to see if that does the trick. Thing is I thought the proportioning valve only did front to back not side to side. Also when I first bought the car it was the rear left wheel that locked and after driving a few miles that stopped. I'll let you know in a couple of hours how it goes.

It could be a right-side line problem, too, if there is a partially-collapsed or plugged line that isn't allowing pressure to properly bleed back down. Check everything...better yet, if your lines are old, yank all of them and replace with better materials.

As has been suggested, I usually assume that pulling to one side, when braking, means that the OTHER side caliper is not working, for one reason or another. If your flexible brake lines have never been replaced (or are more than 10 years old) I would start there. Then I would look at the left caliper and see if it is leaking or just plain not working. Jack up the car, leaving the tire on and spin the tire. Lightly touch the brake pedal and see what happens to the spinning left front tire.

In addition, rebuild kits for GM calipers are plentiful, cheap, and fairly easy to install. I would do both calipers, after replacing the flexible lines.

Remember he said it is pulling while driving, not just braking, so I would inspect the right side first then look at the left but that is just my opinion.

Default Heres what it was....

I took the car in and had it on a hoist...in ten seconds I could see that the lower control arm has split...time for a new one. what an ugly sight.
Thanks for the info guys.
