Thanks, I looked at their setup... apparently they are selling just a controller.
I remember reading here some time ago that Bow Tie wasn't the only company selling a complete 200R4 and 700 package with auto tranny, brace, hookups, etc... a;; that was needed.

i bought all my stuff absent the torque converter and trans from them and don't regret it at all. Its nice to have one stop shopping and i had no problems and they helped me over the phone for the install.
California Performance Transmission can sell you whatever you need. They don't have an online catalog yet, so you'll have to call them but they're very good. Just ask GSC3.
IF you have the time and a few tools you can just measure your stock setup, do some minor calculations and fab up your own stuff, it's NOT HARD....that's what I did when doing my 700r4 setup some 8 years ago...wish I knew of the 2004r back then, but time passes, and knowledge gained....
at any rate, mod the crossmember with some steel from H despot, and get it bolted in, then welded.....
I took out the muncie/bellhousing, and the new tranny, tipped them up on the housings flat on the floor, and took a framing square and steel tape to the things, comparing offsets vertically and length, the obvious was done without much effort....
I can't seem to find a source for the 200R4 tranny locally. I've tried wrecking yards @ such.
BTO sells rebuilt & tested trannys, so I guess the fear factor isn't so bad then.

what TC did you use? Is it mandatory that a lockup TC be used in this swap?

mike,, why not have one built locally? my cousin owns a trans shop in chicago and built mine for me . using the right year for the core, bought all high preformance parts for the guts,,and boetie for the t.v cable, brake pedal switch,,indent plate for the shifter.and decal for the ''o.d'' and crossmember bracket,,boetie was on the phone with my cousin a few times, giving tips even thou we didnt buy there transmission then again this was almost 6 yrs ago,, i couldnt see paying boetie for a trans,if there was any problems i would be shipping back to california,,, any problems now i only got to get the 73 to chicago from the south suburbs,

i used a 2500 stall speed torque converter but i think a 2100 -2200 would also have worked fine....i don't know if lockup TC is mandatory but i think its a good idea.
I looked into that. None of the local wrecking yards I called had any 200R4 - either rebuilt or just pull-outs. Then two transmission shops I contacted didn't want to mess with me. Acting like they didn't want any part of someone trying to put one type transmission in a different car that it never was available in.
I think it was due to concerns of me bringing it back - for something that (to them) wasn't their doing.
It was so frustrating that I gave up on that avenue.
