What is there to testing a NOS solenoid? I've been told mine is bad, but it still clicks and still sprays (not sure how much). What else can I check?
BTW - this is system is on a Hayabusa..worked great a couple of times, now when the button is pushed the bike just falls flat on its face. Thought maybe I had a leak and was shooting air, but have refilled the bottle twice..with same problem. I don't think pressure is an issue cause the temperature hasn't changed much since when it did work.
You can just disconnect the line going out of the solenoid and trigger it with the nitrous turned on and spray it into the air. That would tell if the nitrous is passing through the solenoid ok.

Do as Norval says, we had this problem on our outboards; we found two problems the nitrous solenoids have an inlet and outlet so make sure they are correct and we had solenoids work just fine with out pressure on them but would not open with the bottle pressure on them. The solenoids we were using had a specific solenoid for the nitrous and a different one for the fuel.

If everything is working correctly it could be getting too much fuel, common problem when tuning nitrous. Nothing else, other than an empty bottle, will cause a motor to loose power when the system in engaged.
Thanks for the help. Too much fuel was the ultimate problem. Fogger nozzle had come loose from the bottom of the air box (couldn't see it - was spraying the engine - not in the airbox). Hitting the juice results in my injectors going to full rich, and with no nitrous to mix with - resulted in the huge flat spot / bog everytime I hit the button.
