Vacuum on wipers 1971
I need some in-put on the function of the vacuum switch that mounts behine the tach it has two vacuum conections & two electrical.this is the only part I haven't replaced on the vacuum system.I can seem to find anyone who carries this switch.I think it controls the wipers & wiper door.

That solenoid is part of what allows the wiper door to close when the ignition is turned off. This era wipers are unique in that they park when the key is shut off and then the wiper door closes on top of the wipers. Normally wipers stop dead when the ignition is switched off. The factory service manual shows all of the details of how the system works.

Don't buy one. Repair the one you have. Go to www.71Corvette.com and check the tech articles. There is a repair procedure for it. I'll post a link later because the website is not responding.
