It's a mini-itx pc with a 7" touchscreen. I also have a GPS hooked up (how I found out the speedo is way off) so I can get driving directions and find my way around town (just moved).

Looks like you did a good job, congrats. I wouldn't do it to my vette because I don't drive it enough to warrent it, plus I like to listen to the engine too much.
I originally was going to do that, but decided against it for a few reasons:
1. I don't have the sensor hookups on the pc. Wouldn't be too expensive to do though.
2. One of the requirements I had was to have about 90-95% of the interfacing with the pc to be thru a touchscreen. Mounting the screen where the gauges are, it would be a littl too far to touch (currently with my hand on the shifter, I'm an inch or two away from the screen).
I'm not ruling out getting the gauge readings on the pc (in fact, some of those will be logged with the EFI data).
I have found that I really need to get my windows tinted, as the glare really shows on the touchscreen...
I would try building the screen in somewhere. I don't have any idea where though. Either the gauge cluster or get a smaller screen?
Lots of people add a gps for speed on boats and I didn't like the tacked on look so built it in. The top display is for the engine. Just need those 2 gauges.
