Well i stayed up til 2:30 last night getting a set of headers put in for a car show today, with the help of several buddies i managed to get the job done. It was harder getting the manifolds off than it was getting the headers on. One bolt was so frozen we had to torch it and beat the manifold off. I got a set of Flowtech ceramacoats from Advanced Auto Parts, they seem pretty good so far. They're great for $220. I drove it into town to the muffler shop with just the headers and it sounded pretty good If anyone has any recommendations for mufflers I'd be glad to have em. I was told Hooker Aero Chambers are nice.
I like sound, so I have Flowmaster series 40. A little quieter are the 50 series. Then I have DynoMax on my other vette. Not as obnoxious as Flows, but a real " Corvette"sound.
Try the new Flowmaster Super 40's. I have them and love them.No interior resonance, and they are very deep sounding. I am constantly being asked what mufflers are on my car.
How do the Flotech's fit? Do you have AC, what trans and other access? I am more concerned about fit than anything else. I doubt that there is much diff in perf between same size headers.

I'm using Ultraflows in the rear. 2.5 exhaust, crossover tube behind the frame and mandrel bends keep it all 2.5
I dunno if the Ultraflows have more flow than Dynomax's Magnaflow units, (and my 383 wouldn't push that limit anyway) but it sounds great.
I have flowtechs and dynomax magnaflows it sounds good, has a deep sound at idle and get loud at WOT, the flowtechs fit good for me, I have p/s and a/c
