buy a copy of circle track mag. You might be able to find some springs that would work.

Where are you racing, Daytona? 750 is kindof extreme, why so set on that number?

With the setup C3's commonly used at tracks like Daytona (banked = high downward force) they used 400lb/in the rear and something like 750-800 front springs. I have the 5-leaf, 400lb/in spring if you really want it. It's been on my car about a year and a half, bought NOS from VBP.

For a normal road course, I would use standard high performance 550 fronts and 7leaf rear and swaybars to suit. If that's not enough in the back maybe the 5-leaf and a serious swaybar in the front. I have never run that setup though, that's just my best guess.

TT said 750 whould be the best for road race. i race at sebring and go up to 150 mph and many of the turns are very high speed. what are the dimension of the front springs? like wicth and height. also how long our socks fully extended and fully compressed.for the rear spring ill just drive to vb and p and talk to him about having a composite rear spring custom made shorter and stiffer. but thanks for the offer.

Aftermarket springs are about 13 - 13 1/2".

Can't help you with the shocks though. However, I would drive 150 MPH around a race track w/some cheap shocks. JMO.

A roadracer I spoke sold me a 5-leaf rear spring and some 3/4" wire diameter front springs. The front springs were originally for a
Ford F-250 truck, cut much shorter of course. He used these in a small block car, but I've found they work pretty good with a big block too. Front sway bar 1 1/4"; rear bar 3/4"

I'll measure tomorrow but I believe it's 3 3/4". I know for sure they are wider then the rustange springs.

??? where did I say that???

I don't think anyone offers 750# springs that will fit, what I did say was that my setup is about the same as 600 - 650# springs in the stock location because I have 450 pounders just next to the ball joint but I also have 400# springs and may get some 350s if it's too stiff..that's the beauty of this coil over stuff, easy spring changes.

I assume that you are talking about 750 lbs/inch springs.. Why would you want that kind of spring rate?? unless you are planning on road racing.. You'll hardly get any weight transfer in front with 750 lbs/inch springs... If you plan on Drag Racing, you need < 300 lbs/inch front springs..

I was going to type if i recall right but that was to hard. so maybe 550 is stiff enough?

So that whould make it 5.5. ill order some from a cricle track mag and see if thet fit. there about 45 bucks a pop. now for the shocks The shocks i mention above are not cheap shocks. the reason i want to run them is becuase they have custom valving. so it brings up the question again. Will chevelle or camaro shock fit?or are the bilstens just fine for road race?
