Where is my Tach Filter?

There is some debate as to the purpose of the filter, Some say its for protection, I believe it simply for noise filtering. Some people are running with no filter, no problems. If you replace the filter with a 10K ohm resistor, and the tach still doesn't work, its probably not the filter.
)If you follow the lead from the BLACK clip on the dist (purple arrow below), that's the tach signal lead. That wire goes to the filter, then goes to the tach.
