I have just dyno'ed my 68 on a Mustang dyno, the operator said not to expect the same numbers that the Dyno-Jet gave me a few months ago. He was right. The mustang dyno was 50 rwhp lower. He said that Mustang dyno's run 20-30% lower...I'll pull the motor this winter and pop it on an engine dyno...maybe I will get some insight...
I was told that when I take my bike and put it on a Dyno-jet dyno that I will get different number than the Dyno I used before... I am sure that someone here can explain.
Can't believe you have a Mustang dude.
I live in Houston I need to stop by your shop on one of my drives/rides and shot the bull
I had a similar experience, I got a little over 400 rwhp on a dynojet, and only 375 on a superflow chassis dyno.
The Engine dyno was also superflow and it was 495hp (see chart in my sig)
I saw a really cool chassis dyno at a car show last week, it bolts directly to the rear axels.
It seems a lot safer than the treadmill kind. I may give it try soon, the guy from the car show is local. The last place I had my car tuned was at a very high elevation so it doesn't run quite as well as I'd like down here.
Yea my buddy works at a subaru tuner shop and because they are AWD you need to bolt on one of those to each wheel. the dyno time for those cars is very expensive.
