Default Need Advice On 69 Assembly

My last post of this car was "Talking 69 ZL1" and I told you the story of this car.
I finally dug out the car again and it was in deep dust,
Please take a look at it as I need answers.
Has some ZL1 features but I think it was a SB.
New info just in<<< MY cousin called, He was the one who bought my brothers house after he passed away and willed the car to me, in box's.
He said there was and engine in the garage and I should check it out as he thinks it belonged to the vette. Yep its a chevy SB but I need to check Numbers, I need info on doing this please.
O yea, here is my car, sorry I cant yet post here.

The paper in your photos is the order sheet. It will list the type of engine that was originally installed. I can't see the numbers too clearly...

Single pin calipers, means no J56 brakes,no ZL1.Unless they were changed at some point.I cant read the build sheet either, but I'll bet you can, what's it say next to engine?Looks like 350 to me.

The 6000 rpm redline on the tach indicates a L46 350 horse smallblock

The chevy engine that was in my cousins garage has the same numbers as part of my vin so I would assume thats the original motor.
the build sheet does look like it says 350. The ZL1 stuff on the interior was someones dream I guess but it did get my blood flowing though.
so now I have a BB and a sb engine. Which one to put in now is the question. I like the modified look of the wide flares and tires so I think I will keep that. The suspension is probably SB stuff, What would I have to change to install the BB.
P.S. This build sheet I found, I was told that this is a very important piece of paper for vettes but its falling apart, is there a place I can send it to be duped.
O yea, does anyone have thoughts on the steering shaft that still dont reach the rag joint, please look at the pics I took.
Thanks

Nuthin wrong with the steering column I can see. It telescopes, loosen up the cynch bolt, clamp a vise grip on the shaft and tap it with a hammer. It should come down and close the gap in the rag joint, then re-tighten the cynch nut.

The bolt you call "cynch bolt" is this the 12 point bolt?
I found what the manual calls a "pinch bolt"----- same thing?

No, it is the clamp above it, if you have one. If you don't see a clamp, just try moving the shaft up or down. Be sure you have the rag joint disconnected. Do the vise grip thing and tap until good joint union and tighten clamp. That's all there is to it. If you can't get the shaft to come down, try tapping it back into the column to see if it is frozen. If it goes up, tap it back down and see if that frees it up. One thought; if your top seems extended all the way out, take another look at the pinch nut spline. If the shaft is making full contact into the spline, you may need to tap that down a little, but first check the top shaft for adjustment. This is the way I did mine and was very easy.

A reproduction build sheet will have no value/resale creadibilty with any knowledgable Vette person, cause there's lots of forgeries out there. Save the original anyway possable if you do reproduce it for your own purposes. Piece it together and put it in a plastic sleeve or something...
