Default Summit Racing Distributor

Good afternoon; I'm thinking of the Summit racing Upgraded Distributor Kit Model #: PRO-66945RC for my 1975 L-48 Stock Stringray. The only other modifications will be True Duals and Turbo Mufflers. Is this a good kit to Maximize HEI System? Also, any wire recommendations to use with this application?

Thanks for all the help and input

I think for about 140 you can buy the complete mallory distributor from summit no issues with worn shafts or gears. I have one in my 76 and it works great.

Does it warrant changing the complete distributor at 35K?

There are complete HEI distributors on Ebay ($80-$100) - I bought one for $89, they advertized 50KV coil, all new cap, gears, shaft and so on.... works just fine...

I think I saw a complete "high perf." distributor in Summit's catalog for $119....

Thanks; I think complete will be the way to go. One other question;do they include the "softer" spring to tune per Lar's papers?

Thanks

You guys are much more knowledgeable then myself on these distributors; but this is what I'm looking getting now. Does anyone see something I'm not? Thanks again guys!

Last question; is all this worth any performance gains or should I just pick up a set of softer springs and retune the engine? Currently it runs OK just a lot of hesitation at low end. I forgot to mention I will replacing the stock wires, PVC, Fuel Filter and plugs (Plug are not original).

Thanks
